  Consultation Services

Do you need some coaching advice or a  little "fine-tuning" in your training program?  Are you getting ready for a BIG race or ride? Need to discuss race strategy or evaluate your race? Is there any other cycling topic   on your mind? If so, we'd be glad to talk   with you. Most of the time we will talk via the phone, but occasionally we can meet with you in person. Consulting is available for INDIVIDUALS and TEAMS. We look forward to hearing from you!

Each personal coaching option involves an extensive startup process. A training program is then designed specific to the unique strengths/weaknesses, goals, and training time availability of each athlete. Please contact Kim if you have any questions.                                 EFC  Personal Coaching Options
The Performance Plan: Level 3
This basic coaching package is ideal for a competitive or recreational endurance athlete who is looking for high quality, cost effective professional coaching guidance to help them reach their goals. This plan is a good option for those individuals who want personalized coaching expertise, but may simply prefer this level of coach-athlete interaction, and/or who may be on a limited budget.

 Specifically, this plan includes:

                                           ------------------------------------------

  • Extensive initial startup process for each athlete.
  • A customized, daily training schedule (designed for each unique athlete) sent in 2-4 week training blocks,
  • Monthly phone consultation  (45 minutes), at the athlete's initiative/ OR you may prefer two x 20-25 minute monthly consultations. Your coach will be available to answer any training questions you might have or you may use this time for pre-race/post-race consultations.
  • Up to twice-weekly athlete initiated email interaction is available to answer your questions. Emails are normally answered within 24-48 hours.
  • Weekly/monthly training goals and objectives to keep you on track,
  • Your coach's twice-monthly detailed review/analysis of your training logs to check your progress,
  • Training schedules designed and analyzed using heart-rate, perceived exertion, and/or power training.
  • General strength training recommendations, when applicable to your sport,
  • Twice per quarter training plan revision if needed, and
  • Opportunity to ride/train with your coach at a special reduced rate (offered only to EFC athletes).

*Rates/Term: $235 per month/ 4 month minimum                                                   We normally coach our clients for one or more seasons, but we simply ask for a 4 month minimum commitment to get started.

  • There is a one time $150 New Client Initial Consultation (Start up) Fee for all new athletes.  Startup fee, plus first month coaching fees are due initially. Subsequent payments are made monthly.

The Champion Plan:  Level 2
The Champion Plan is our popular coaching plan designed for the recreational athlete, fitness enthusiast, competitive athlete and/or elite athlete who is looking for regular, consistent coach-athlete interaction to help them reach their unique goals.  It is an excellent option for many athletes who are facing the challenge of balancing training with other family, work and important life commitments. Let us take the guesswork out of your training and help you plan your available training time most effectively! This Level II plan includes:

                                           -------------------------------------------

  • Extensive initial startup process for each athlete.
  • A customized, daily training schedule (designed for each unique athlete) sent in 2-4 week training blocks,
  • Two to three phone consultations per month (approximately 30 minutes each), athlete or coach initiated. Your coach will be available to answer any training questions you might have or you may use this time for pre-race/post-race consultations.
  • Frequent coach initiated communication.
  • Unlimited athlete and coach initiated email interaction is available to answer your questions. Emails are normally answered within 24-48 hours (often the same day response), and will be both coach and athlete initiated.
  • COMPLIMENTARY Quarterly Coaching Sessions (1.5 hours each). A great opportunity for additional one-on-one time with your professional coach. These quarterly sessions may be combined if meeting with your coach semi-annually or annually.
  • Weekly/monthly training goals and objectives to keep you on track,
  • Your coach's WEEKLY review/analysis of your training logs to check your progress,
  • FREE use of a web-based training log tool to keep you on track and to keep your coach updated throughout the month,
  • Training schedules designed and analyzed using heart-rate, perceived exertion or power.
  • Basic strength training programs are included, when applicable to your sport,
  • An off-season training plan designed just for you,
  • Once monthly training plan revision if needed.

 

*Rates/Term: $350 per month/ 4 month minimum                                                   We normally coach our clients for one or more seasons, but we simply ask for a 4 month minimum commitment to get started.

The Elite Plan:  Level 1
This premium coaching option is the ultimate coaching package for the serious athlete, busy executive or working professional who is looking for extensive, and unlimited, coach-athlete interaction, and regular one-on-one time with their professional coach.  This plan is for those who appreciate and value a high level coaching service with constant and UNLIMITED coach-athlete interaction.

Specifically, this plan includes:

                                       ----------------------------------------

  • *Start the season off with a 1-day/one-on-one customized training camp with your coach! Travel to meet your coach for field testing, a skills session, and pre-season planning! Enjoy the beautiful training roads and scenery in popular Greenville, SC!
  • COMPLIMENTARY Monthly Coaching Sessions (1.5 hours each). A great opportunity for additional one-on-one time with your professional coach. These monthly sessions may be combined if meeting with your coach quarterly or semi-annually.
  • Extensive initial startup process for each athlete.
  • A customized, daily training schedule (designed for each unique athlete) sent in 2-4 week training blocks,
  • Personal access to your coach's private cell phone number for quick answers to questions when needed!
  • Weekly phone consultations, as needed (30-45 minutes each), athlete or coach initiated.
  • Constant and unlimited email interaction with your coach to monitor your progress. Emails are normally answered within 24 hours, and will be both coach and athlete initiated.
  • Detailed strength training programs are included, when applicable to your sport,
  • Weekly training goals/objectives designed just for you,
  • An Annual Training Plan and specific long-term goal setting,
  • Your coach's on-going, regular detailed review/analysis of your training logs.  
  • Extensive Pre-race/event and post-race/event consultations,
  • FREE use of a web-based training log tool to keep you on track and to keep your coach updated throughout the week,
  • Training schedules designed and analyzed using heart-rate, power training (optional), and perceived exertion.
  • Fitness testing (done periodically) to establish heart-rate and power zones.
  • Power Meter Analysis available for cyclists and triathletes.
  • Twice monthly training plan revisions, if needed,
  • An off-season training plan designed just for you.

 

*Rates/Term: $525 per month/ 6 month minimum                                                   We normally coach our clients for one or more seasons, but we simply ask for a 6 month minimum commitment to get started.

  • There is a one time $250 New Client Initial Consultation (Start up) Fee for all new athletes.  Startup fee, plus first month coaching fees are due initially. Subsequent payments are made monthly.
